The issue is probably mostly that Valve themselves only use it on PC. Most things Valve makes were made because of an internal need, but if the demand is high enough it might get a port.

Demand is already high enough, I think that they are still trying to work the bugs out of the PC Beta before porting to MAC

Since this was built (rebuilt?) on the cross-platform framework Qt, I assume they were planning to port it to the Mac eventually. Not sure what's taking them so long, though. The Windows version has been out of beta for a year, and stable for longer than that. Then again, their porting people are busy working on all that Linux stuff...

Sorry Saunter, but SFM is not out of beta for Windows, the first Beta was only released in July of last year. If anything, SFM is NOT stable, and never has been truly stable at anytime.

Check it yourself, open SFM click Help and About SFM

The Window box reads,

About Source Filmmaker [Beta]
version: 0.9.7.7 (beta)
then copyright info...

SFM will probably not be ported to any other OS until the beta is complete for Windows and the bugs worked out. The Lard only knows when that will be.
