When will this come out of beta??
God, I have waited MONTHS for this to even UPDATE for mac and linux. Still beta. God dammit Valve, can you at least tell us the release date for mac and linux? Thank you.

PS: What's with the weird text?

I doubt we'll see anything for a few years at least.

that sucks.

Why does it suck, you have access to it as is and it is being developed based on the comments sent back?

You know why it's still unupdated and in beta?
Valve time.

They just updated a week or two ago.

I honestly don't know what people expect from an update.

Leave it in Beta... until it works (properly)!!! But please throw in some proper documentation. Tell us what ALL these buttons, toggels, input and check boxes, etc are suppose to actually do!!! That way we can actually give you some real feedback on the beta!!! Having us stagger around and accidentally find a feature is really fustrating.

I think everything for SFM is explained in Valve's Developer wiki page. Not sure though. Back on topic - Yes its still in beta, but as time passes Source Filmmaker 3 will be worth the wait.

It's too buggy! I try to load a session but the map doesn't get loaded, the viewport sometimes gets stuck, sometimes selecting a model will crash the sfm, playing a session with alot of voice clips and music crashes it too, it's so annoying! I would literally PAY $50 to Valve to make SFM work properly. I've been trying to make animated videos with this wonderful tool for months but I can't thanks to these stupid beta bugs! :(

What, this one?? .. Show me in this guide where it explains in layman's terms what a DMEobject is, how to define it and work it... Or how to define a particle and what each of the 100's of controls are and what they do.

This document is a user based "Hey Guys, Look what I found" document, just like the rest of the Wiki entries on this site. Where are the OFFICIAL THIS IS WHAT THAT DOES documents? I don't think I've seen an official "This is what is does" type document released by Valve on anything they've put out. (Sorry, I stand corrected... The Tutorials that they did put out were great, but there hasn't been a follow up to 13.3 and it was implied in the video that there would be.)

It's probably just one or two guys working on it in their off time. XD

I sometimes wonder if even they have documentation. It could be that sfm was basically built on a "hey, look what I added!" basis. Or possibly a "we need this for a shot, lets add it." basis.

Them releasing it for us to use was just them being cool guys. (and free advertizing for valve stuff, but that's a bonus)
