Portal 2 and Turrets
I am the head of a recently made YouTube Channel, and I want my avatar to be a Portal 2 Turret. So I got SFM, extracted, imported, and processed all the files and character models. Yet, when I go into the actual Program and try to use the turret models they don't show up on the screen or in-game, but it states that they're there. PLZ explain.

I don't know why this would happen but you could try the Portal 1 turrets. I've never had any problems with them in SFM

When you ported the Portal assets did you do the bat process that creates the missing vtx filse. If you did, the process no longer needs that step. Delete your ported items and redo the extraction from the VPK and DON'T do the bat process. this should fix things for you.

Which animations, the ones included in a model or how to animate it manually?

The model each time I click on the animation I want and put the character in they are stuck in place in a completely different position than the one I picked!

Take a few screenshots of the way you are selecting yu "animations" and where you are getting them from? Doctor them in a program (like msPaint or Gimp) and circle the things you are clicking to get your animations. Show your time line, the view port a and the animation editor, if possible incle the console with errors...

Sorry I'm not an expert at SFM in fact I just got got it two weeks ago and have been playing it for at least 2 hours. So I didn't quite understand the last sentence(And if you're wondering, then yes I did skip the tutorial videos made by Valve).

Well SORRY, but none of their titles explained anything about Portal 2 (what I'm trying to make a movie of) and I assumed at the time that they're were seperate rules for different games. Plus, it gets REALLY boring listening to a person talk about ALL the information you DON'T want to hear.

The tutorials explain how to use SFM. Regardless of if you use TF2, Portal 2 or any other game's assets, the techniques remain largely unchanged. Only the stuff about recording takes in game mode don't really apply, and even then it's a good idea to know how to do it anyway, can always come in handy.

The only dif between using a custom asset (portal, CS, HL2) asset and a TF2 asset is that you cna't use Custom assets in gamemode. So if you want to use custom assets in your video you have to learn pose to pose animation.
