How to switch out skins?

Hey guys! I've run into a little trouble for one of my shorts. In the beginning, I plan on having three lights turn on, but I don't know how to make the light models start with the "off" skin, and then become the "on" skin. Any way to go about this?

Do you mean how to turn them off and on? You can do that by adjusting the Intensity slider

No I think he means he has a model of a light with 'on' and 'off' skins. There's 2 ways of going about it, just move/animate/switch the models out in one frame so it appears to be the same model, or use this skin animating script: http://puu.sh/7ccsa.py

But how exactly do I go about switching the models out? I tried changing the animation set time, but it didn't help. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with using animating scripts.
