Bone extension? SURGERY TIME! :D
Quick question for Blender users:

If I edit an SFM-compatible model in Blender and extend an arm or leg, will the bone in the skeleton automatically extend with it, or do I have to do that seperately?

Depends on how it's done. If you go into pose mode and scale the bone, the mesh will automatically update. Just make sure you apply the scale before you export. (I think the keyboard combo is shift enter)

So does this scalefeature also increase the width? That might be ok but I'd prefer to just extend the length of limbs if possible. Also, does applying the scale before exporting make the change permanent?
