WAV Files Crash SFM Immediately.
I'm not sure what the problem is here. I have it at 44100hz or however much it's supposed to be, and It's at a 16 bit rate too. but then when I even *click* on the sound file, SFM just crashes, and nothing happens. I don't know what to do here. Any advice?

Download audacity and try to recompile the audio ????

how long is it?

I use the exact same process and exact same settings each time when I convert a sound for sfm, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. where I see the biggest problem is long sounds. Sometimes I have to cut a sound file down to get it to not crash sfm.

What WAV file? If it's pulled from another game, it might be a different encoding format (ADPCM, whatever Xbox uses...) that Source dislikes.
