SFM partical problems.
Ok i just found out how to use particals. And i made one work. I say ONE for a reason. When i tried to make another partical for the same clip, it wouldnt show up. The scene was supposed to have two unusual hats in it, but none of the unusual particals are showing up after i added the first. Help plz.

DETAILS Bonk, what particles are you using from which pcf file? what map are you using to display them in? Are they locked to a model, which one and what bone. When do you have start and for what life time?

Heh sorry bout that. Im using the "item_fx.pcf file". The map is 2fort. It's not locked to the model yet. and i have start time at zero. and lifetime for the entire clip. Like i said above it was supposed to show two unusual hat effects but only one is showing up on the playback. Again sorry for the lack of details. if this is still not enough I will give more info.

Did you move the playhead off of the active clip and back?

No. I didn't think of that. I didn't feel like it would have any effect.

Yup, very important step... Everytime you add a new particle, move the playhead off the clip and then back on again. It initializes the particle system.

ugh i feel so stupid. That was all i needed to do. thanks for the help.
