Trouble loading a custom TF2 map in Source Filmmaker
I wanted to load my custom map, Tombfort, in Source Filmmaker and take some promo shots of the map, but it doesn't load correctly. Everything is packed into the map, and I've moved the custom textures/models into the usermod folder as well. Other official maps load fine (I haven't tried other custom maps, I should do that). The only thing I can think of is that I use one or two cosmetics from the new update in the map as props.

Are there any common errors with opening a map in SFM I should know about? Thanks! :p2chell:

What do you mean by 'doesn't load correctly'? Are there no map props, or does SFM crash upon loading, or what?

I'm sorry, I should've clarified. It crashes upon loading the map, yes.

The map has HDR, also, for what it's worth.

Not a problem. Try remaking the map without any props you feel may be hindering it from loading, or alternatively remaking it without any props. If the map loads perfectly without props, you can make a list of the props you used and ensure that each one is accessible by SFM.

I think I've figured out the problem, my map has NPC characters on it like Thunder Mountain, Doomsday and Foundry, and I've tried to open up those maps as well and have similar crashes. Other custom maps load fine for me, and every other map but those three works fine as well. It seems to be a clientside issue for me more than anything.

I can just remake the map without NPCs later.
