Needing Assistance with Painting Certain Items
Hello!

I've recently started using Source Filmmaker, and have grasped the basic concepts of the software at a reputable pace. However, certain aspects are troubling me, more specifically, paint. I'm having relatively vast troubles in painting numerous items.

I'm attempting to recreate my old Scout loadout. This consists of a Max's Severed Head, Fast Learner and Essential Accessories, all painted in Australium Gold. I'm using a Hat Proxy and have the appropriate knowledge on how to paint the items, though in some circumstances this isn't working, resulting in me needing assistance.

The Max's Severed Head and Essential Accessories don't seem to be able to have paint applied. These items do not become black, but simply cease to change from their default colours. The Fast Learner I can paint, but I'm unaware on how to change the style to "Winter" (Darker tone) - There are two styles, 0 and 1. Both contain skins which can be changed, but they both alter between unpainted, and the Summer style.

I am asking if anybody has any knowledge in painting these items and can provide the appropriate methods to assist my struggles.

Best regards.

Use this script to handle all of the Mateial Proxy stuff quickly and easily:

Thank-you for pointing me in the right direction. I've installed it but I'm not familiar with scripts at all, how do they work and how does one apply the benefits of this more refined colour system?

Apply it the same way you'd apply an IK rig to a model - a little window will pop up and ask you what colour you'd like.
