Should I use the root or should I just leave it alone?
I was wondering whether I should animate a character with or without the root, I'm trying to make him turn 90 degrees to face someone to his right. What do you guys think I should do?
Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Whichever, if it's easier to leave it out of the animation then there's no reason not to.

I try to keep the charcter with the root so that I can move the character easily. But then I can also lock the arms and legs to the pelvis, I'll try it now.

But one benefit of the root I think is that you can animate a character walking or running much faster than without the root since you can duplicate the frames. Without the root, it is easier to place where the character will walk, but it is much more time consuming.

M hm, I find it's really a question of which works best for the current shot.

Yeah, I guess so. Thanks for your help. I think that if your character is going to move in a scene a lot, then the root should be used. If they aren't, then it can be left alone.
