Items from latest updates import
Ya, I wanna import the items from the strongbox crate to SFM, but I don't know where to find the file with them. I looked at those GCF files with GCFScape, but couldn'd find any files starting with "sbox2014_". Any clue where they can be? I seriously need that Heavy Lifter. :)

The GCF files don't exist anymore, not since everything has been ported to Steam Pipeline.

Oh christ, do I really have to watch the entire video? Maybe I misspelled the name, those files I was talking about are not GCF, but VPK. Just a little mistake. And the thing is, the files for latest items are not there. I used to know that (to import Flapjack to SFM), but just forgot. Location is all I need, I can handle the rest. :D

VPK files for TF2 are located in your Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf folder

This much I know too. But like... deeper? I opened tf2_misc_dir.vpk, then went to root-models-player-items-heavy, but there was no file for any of the items from strongbox. :(

OHHHH... hang on...

Nevermind, just found all the stuff in root-models-player-items-workshop, christ, I'm so dumb.
Well thanks for the help anyway, now you can go back to trying to help me with enhanced scout model. :DD

hahaha, I hadn't hear of that for a while and thought you fixed it.
El Matador Jun 8, 2014 @ 4:26pm
Well not really, I tried to completely unintall it (to try all over again) and even with that I have problems, different files for it are everywhere in SFM's files due to many attempts of installing it. :D

I did add the strong box items to this guide, Use Ctrl-F to open a search box and type either the model or the wiki name to find what the item is called... you can then type the model name into the model browser...

Oh fear not, I use this guide like ALL the time, discovered it long time ago. :D

I'm in the process of updating it yet again... I just got to buy some more round twoits... Once I get a round twoit I'll get it done... lol

Alright, I tried all over again, I used this guide right here:
I have the models in SFM, but they appear textureless (black-purple squares). Is it just me or the guide is missing something?

strong box items will be under the class element for the item in this folder game\tf\models\workshop\player\items\ (all_class, demo, engi, hvy, pyro, etc.) Each item is actually in its own folder under the class ie sniper\sbox2014_archers_groundings...

Check that path for items. IF they are not in that type of path, they are installed wrong...

materials follow the same logic.. here is the path to the medic's strongbox wintergarb gaiter...

model : common\SourceFilmmaker\game\TeamF3\models\workshop\player\items\medic\sbox2014_medic_wintergarb_gaiter\sbox2014_medic_wintergarb_gaiter.mdl

materials: common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf\materials\models\workshop\player\items\medic\sbox2014_medic_wintergarb_gaiter\sbox2014_medic_wintergarb_gaiter.vmt

Uh, "TeamF3"? I can only guess you renamed that, but what should be the original name?
Pte Jack Jun 13, 2014 @ 11:03am
Huh, ??? I don't understand?
