Help with Black Screen
I'm new to this whole SFM thing but I really need help with it. I was trying to load a map and though it says, "map loaded" absolutely nothing shows up but a black screen. Can I get some good direction on how to fix this so I can actually begin creating animations? I looked on YouTube and it didn't help me. I'd be just fine with a written explanation on how to fix this underlying problem.

If you have the SFM viewport open, a map loaded and it is black, it is most likely because you're floating in space outside the actual map. Rotate the camera around holding the left mouse button and the Alt Key down, and try to find the map then fly into it using the left Mouse + W key. Like this.. http://imgur.com/bKZBzyX
