01:05:00 lock
I've been using SFM for a while now, and am trying to make a longer animation. But whenever I try to make an animation between the 01:05:00 mark, all the models and animations within that time just stop like it went into some kind of lock mode or something, and I don't know how to fix it.

double click the clip, you will see bunch of yellow bars indicate the model's name and extend them beyond the clip.

Thank you so much! It was really annoying, I had to stop animating because I was afraid to mess with anything if I tried to fix it myself.

Ahhhh the 1:05 issue. I personally hate its existance, but there isn't much of a possible fix, and it needs that manual workaround.

Yeah, models already just stand around like damn statues anyway if you just don't put any animations on it, so there really is not point in that feature in the first place. In fact it just makes it harder if there are those who actually want to have models stand around like statues. You can just simply not put any animations on it instead of waiting for a minute and five seconds before the game just does it by itself for no reason whatsoever.

There's probably a good reason as to why animation sets require channel track groups. I think it's a bit unfair to criticize the decision to include them without full knowledge of the program's inner workings.

It's really not that bad anyway, you just have to remember about existing animsets' track groups when extending a shot.

The worst case scenario is when you have fifty or so animation sets and you realise you're on 1:05.
