How do I add ANYTHING to the SFM Workshop?
I found a tutorial, but the model I am trying to upload keeps having an error with finding the materials in the directory. What could be wrong? The model is tf_administator. :(

It probably has missing materials. Does the console report any missing material errors when you import the model for the first time in an SFM session?

No, and the model spawns okay in SFM. I've moved it around even put it into the usermod folder and that didn't even work. The error changed only a little bit, from not recognising the game, and now it doesn't recognize the materials.

doesn't matter if the model works or not. the uploader is very picky and expect things to be exactly right. so you either have to find the materials it asks for, or go through the process of making the model not call for that material, which could involve recompiling.

you could always just create dummy files with the right names in the right places.

Well, either way, I kind of gave up on this, so Im just gonna go back to working on SFM only. :/ Better yet, I only care about adding a session into SFM Workshop, which I cannot because it has a few custom mods.

I had a similar problem. All I had to do was create a VTF and a VMT for it, both called 'idle' in the model's 'materials' folder.

Also, the Administrator model is already on the workshop, uploaded by the original creator.

You should know as much that you shouldn't do that.

I know, I was told by Maxxy and Rebbaccus not to do it, so I didn't but the problem is in sharing a session. :/ It's a session I created and I wanted to save it onthe Workshop, but I can't. The first part of the problem is that the models are custom mods.

What do you mean by 'custom mods'? Like custom materials/textures or something? Is SFM coming up with a dependencies error when you try to upload it?
