Attaching Saxxy Clapper Badge
I really need help here! I'm having trouble trying to attach the Saxxy Clapper Badge onto my Soldier. The only option I see available for the item is RootTransform, and when I try to link those together and drag the Zero bar, it moves the badge to the bottom, not at the body where I want it to go. Is there a way to make the Saxxy Clapper Badge (or any other misc for that matter that has this problem) move to its respective area?

Valve added a new way to add items and hats and weapons and stuff to hwm tf2 models. Right click on the model, and select "Add Team Fortress Item." A list of every single item that can be applied to that model will pop up. Find what you're looking for and click add. SFM will do the rest.

Thanks for the tip. But when I tried it, I still had trouble because it appeared at the bottom of the map I'm in (2fort), which meant that I had to move it up to see it. It still hasn't attatched itself to the Soldier. Do I have to manually position the badge or is there another option that I haven't found yet?

Hmm. Thought for sure that would work. That's weird that it would spawn that way.
Well, yes, the other option is to just manually place it yourself, which is not hard, but it can be annoying. Again, weird that that didn't work. It worked for me with the Spy's rose.

How about locking it to the character's medal bone?

Gnaah, wait, HWM models don't have 'em. That's actually what's causing automatic bonemerging to fail.

Well, either you import a non-hwm Soldier, copy the HWM one's samples onto him, and use his medal bone's position as reference, or you can place it manually as Sam suggested.
