MY SFM DOES NOT WORK

I try to make my first SFM, but i open it and all it is is a grey screen, no tools, no load map thing, NOTHING. help?

Windows > Layouts > Return to Default Layout

Read through this guide, http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=155991324 What you are seeing is the engine window... You have to set the Auto Hide to turn it off, the guide will show you how.
