Why the quality of my SFM artworks is low
Hello, since i started to work on SFM i've had a probleme with the quality of my artworks:there is a blur effect or a pixelisation when you zoom on the picture with steam but when i look thepicture with SFM there isn't any blur. here is a screen of this effect
http://imagesia.com/sfm-bug_niy9

Here is how it looks on steam : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?
id=304666020

And here is how the^pic looks lik when the blur isn't here (its an artwork of another person not mine) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=303178923

The picture resolution is 1920 for 1080 when i export

And my launch options are: -sfm_resolution 1080 -sfm_resolution -w 1920 -h 1080 -sfm_guardband -noborder0

Thank you for reading and don't tell me to do File>Export>Poster because i've done it

If you're referring to the "color banding" effect on your light, that's due to the perils of 8-bit image formats. You can work around this by exporting a frame of your session as a movie image sequence using the PFM format, then opening that in Photoshop or some other image editor that supports it.

Right-click the viewport, set your progressive refinement settings, find the frame you want, let it render the frame (look at the amount of samples in the bottom-right), go to File > Export > Image to Clipboard, then open an image editor (like Paint), hit Ctrl+V, and then save it.

What happens when you do it?

Progressive refinement > OK

The Frame > OK

Render in SFM > Ok

(look at the amount of samples in the bottom-right) > ???

And the other its ok and the render is the same

The amount of samples in the bottom-right increases as it renders every sample of the frame. By default, it goes up to 8. The progressive refinement settings can turn it up to 1024 (setting the depth of field override). Once it's done rendering, it will stay at 1, and you can do the File > Export > Image to Clipboard thing. What that does is take the currently rendered frame, and copy it to your clipboard. The copy/paste memory thing. Thus why it can be pasted in an image editor. After that, it can be saved (with the image editor). That's what I do.

You are confusing me. What is the problem with a completely perfect render you can upload to Steam completely perfectly? (Obviously, you should save it as a lossless image format in the image editor, like PNG or BMP.)

Ok guys the problem as on steam my pics are so bad Is a bad quallity if you zoom on Steam and i save the pics as TGA And PNG

Save the picture as PNG. Go to the Artwork page of the Source FilmMaker hub. Click "Upload your own artwork". Follow the steps. Bam. Or use File > Community > Something in Source FilmMaker. Bam.
