Not a lot of people will tell you this, but I will because I know how to animate fairly well.
If you want to make motion look good, you'll have to learn how animation is done (keyframes, breakdowns, touch-up, lip sync) then apply that by manually animating what you want. You could start with a walk cycle I guess, but you'l have to convert that to the graph editor and manually modify it.

Also, avoid the motion editor for the bulk of your animation, it's a dumbed down graph editor, but it does have its uses if you need to modify (or fix broken) animation curves, along with setting things up or modifying something across all time in that particular scene.

In short there is no good cut and paste method for what you want, you'll have to animate it, but don't get to discouraged, it becomes much easier with practice, especially once you do a good walk cycle manually for the first time!
