No file for spy Doublecross comm in the sfm folders
I wanted to paint my Doublecross comm in sfm, but since the Hat Proxy wouldnt work, i tried doing the long procces, but the only problem is: there is no file for spy doublecross comm only for sniper.

Should I use the Sniper's? since there is none for spy or not?

And if i use the Sniper's DCC on the Spy and use Hat Proxy, will it work?

Forget everything you know about hat painting. A much simpler method was implemented in SFM recently, and everything else was made obsolete as a result.

Just add override materials, then show the model in the element viewer. In there, expand the materials array, and the materials themselves. There should be a colour picker that allows you to paint the item any colour you want.

EDIT:

Oh, I should point out the eyepiece will not paint correctly unless you do this: go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\tf\materials\models\player\items\pyro\, (yes, Pyro, the eyepiece texture is shared with the Triclops) and open smnc_pyro_illum.vmt and smnc_pyro_illum_blue.vmt. In both of them, comment out those lines:

"$detail" "effects/tiledfire/fireLayeredSlowTiled512.vtf"
"$detailscale" "5"
"$detailblendfactor" .01
"$detailblendmode" 6
">=DX90"
{
"$selfillum" 1
}

And at the top, change "VertexlitGeneric" for "UnlitGeneric". Should work fine now.

So i tried somthing in SFm recently and how about for the Gyabanns, im trying to make them paint-able using the override materials method but it wont work
Do i have to do overwrite soething in the vmt files?

The Graybanns require a texture fix. You can get one from here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=253849032

They are there. If they aren't, you opened the wrong file.
