♥♥♥♥ this game.
Infinite repeating, frustration, bad checkpoints (and even more repeating), bad camera. The ball sometimes is behind some structure and all I see is some wall. When the ball is in air there is no point of reference and I have no clue where the ball drops and this results in another try.
Huge open areas + heights don't make me feel safe (another reason why I don't enjoy the game). The jump pads respawn time is way too long - it is simply a waste of my time, especially when I have to repeat some ♥♥♥♥ part quite a few times

Why the hell 90% of indie puzzle/platformers have a nasty habit of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a player?
I own 45 indie games and half of them is ♥♥♥♥♥ player in the hole. Is this some kind of feature to torture player by forcing him to repeat ♥♥♥♥ over and over? What is the point of it. I thought games were about fun and not frustration and hate towards game/dev.

Yeah in the past few week I find that I am bad at platformers. blocks that matter, adventures of shuggy, closure, obulis, snapshot - they all inflict more pain than they give, they are almost good. Strangely other games don't have "no difficulty" issue. They are tailored to various types of gamers. Here we only have one. Throwing all gamers to one bag is bad. It is bad game design. You will breeze through Spectraball, I am stuck on one part and I can't do it no matter what - how is it fun?

Isn't this exactly how games used to be? Nowadays, people expect free pass to all parts of the game, regardless of how good they are in it. Suck it up and practice! :)

I buy indie game to relax, not to hate it. I play all AAA titles/big games on hardest difficulty and it is fun. It is a fair challenge and no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this.

OMG - amazing ♥♥♥♥up: last level - at some point you have to push the box that you need to use to jump on platform, but before you get to this point you speed up and you may hit that box and block it in corner, and that is what happened to me. Start from checkpoint does not reset the position of the box - it stay blocked in corner and you can't move it from there!

EDIT - I finished the game, and the last run on last map is absurd ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I did not expect this game to shove so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Parts of lvl7 are pure torture. I am so happy to delete it and forget. Beware 99% frustration on this game and 1% of fun, and the fun comes when you delete this game. STAY AWAY.

Hm, last map is difficult? I found it average difficulty at most. Sure, you can't fly through everything on the first try, but I managed everything on up to 5 tries.

99% fun, 1% frustration for this old fart. :)

I played my fair share of platformers, and to be honest, I suck at this too. No matter how hard it gets, I still get mad, back off, and come back later, and come have fun some more.

Spectraball has some really annoying bugs like ball not being able to jump what ever you do, it just keeps stuck on the ground, graphical glitching and sometimes things pushing the ball(Yeah, im looking at you final level blue bridge-thing pushers) remain pushing the ball even if you have passed them. Map design is colorful and nice to look at, though the pyramid map was rather messy and the space map was 100% harder than any other maps, mostly due sparse checkpoints and true "♥♥♥♥ you gamer" spots(Especialy the tower-part...). It just humours me that small finnish game company called Shatterstorm did "I'v get some balls" named game in like 2000 and it didnt have any of the bugs Spectraball has....Oh well, atleast the soundscape is wonderful and kudos for Daniel Hakamäki for it.

google translator:

the game has not seemed difficult, perhaps because I played in the metroid prime day where I have been inspired spectraball creators.

thus the physical game seemed familiar at first contact with the game.

the map that best jam I was the sky, but the others seemed a difficulty adjusted. I really enjoyed this game took more than 40 hours spent and yet I remain

The game promises many more hours of fun, the publisher is giving great joy, users are giving rein to his imagination and I'm having so much fun with the maps they publish.

continue to publish maps, I enjoy a lot

Finished. Deleted. Erased from memory.
Best experience? Smooth uninstallation process.

I'll just say first that I have been playing platformers for over 20 years, some puzzles too, speedrunning them and such. This game is just broken. Camera is really bad at times, most of the time tolerable, never really decent and can be really confusing to navigate. Levels are somewhat okay, but the canyon and space stages were just plain frustrating and infested with glitches, bugs and accurate platforming which really doesn't suit the control scheme.

I once played the previous version which felt like it had actually more to it with different difficulties and such. Not once I have noticed a way here to switch it back and forth but hidden Steam achievements tell another story. This game really left me with mixed feelngs. It could have been much better. Plus side is with numerous custom levels to grind with. But the controls and camera are still bad. Sure you can adapt to them, but I feel like it is just wasting my time.

6/10, with better execution would easily be 8+.

At first I thought it would be a ballance clone (it was a nice game), but it is a really clunky and repetitive platformer. Camera is bad and level design is boring. 3/10.

This game is so close to good, but it isn't :(

Most problems cames from the level design. It has only two difficulty level: very easy and f***ing hard. Ok, the avarge difficulty is medium, but this shoudn't the way you balance the difficulty. Some levels have parts where you can stuck for hours, and some entire levels can be done at first time without even dying. That causes the game become anoying in a short period of time.
Another thing is the blur. The graphic is awesome, but the blur ruins everything. It is a pain to look at the game, and there is no options to turn it off, or at least decrease the level of the blur.
The camera and the controlls are also not as good as I initially hoped.

In overall I can't recommend the game. It isn't relaxing, but anoying.

I am not a hater. I don't hate the game (even if I did I would have a reason). I am just saying what are my impressions. For you game was easy, for me it was not. We are not the same.
For ppl who don't play this type of games Spectraball can be a challenge. The fact that it is easy for you does not mean it is easy for another person.
