Controller Player 1 Problems

Anyone else having an issue with a wireless 360 controller and this game?

Whenever I start the game it allows me to navigate with the controller until I start a game. As soon as the game starts, I cannot use the controller anymore and am instead forced to use the keyboard.

When pressing the start button on the controller, it now joins in a second player. So the controller can now only be used for the second player.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I know in the first game you can set Deathspank to controller from the options menu

You need to go to the controller options and check the little box that says "deathspank uses controller" (or something to that extend) then it'll work
