mac problem starting

When I try to start the game, a message pops up that says some requirment isnt met for the game and that it wont launch. I have a relatively new mac and I checked to make sure all the requirments for the game are met and they are. How can I get the game to start?

I don't even get that. I have a brand new macbook. I get the message saying it's starting and another saying it failed.

I can't enter, I just bought the game, I have a Mac 13inch screen with OSX Lion and when I press the game to play it, it just doesn't start... help please?

im having this problem too. i tried fixing it by uninstalling and re installing didnt work and updating it alot. why put a game for the mac if it wont work for all macs?

Same for me. 13" MacBook Pro, click for it to start, the icon shows up, and then it just quits with no error message. Not a good start to trying to game on my Mac.

Is this just a problem for late 2011 13" macbook pros? Because that is what I have as well

I have a mac which is only 5months old and it doesn't want to start either,
I don't even get a message, It just pops up for 2seconds in my dock and then disappears again...

I went on the penny arcade website and there was nothing. No number, no support forums. THey ave to be held liable for problem that obviously affects a significant percent of their customers. Other wise their just stealing from us

Ya I can't play PA: RSP Episode 1 or 2, Crashes immediately on start up on my MBP with Lion, my machine should handle it no prob since I got an i7, 8gb ram, 512gb ssd... I just want to play the game, that's all...

pretty much the same issue as everyone else here, I emailed Steam about a couple of days ago and I have yet to hear back. Just surprised that so many people are having the same issue but nothing has been done yet.

I'm also having the same problem. The developer was Hothead games if i'm not mistaken. They're only making mobile games these days and the website is lacking a forum or support section. Problem is it may not even be them who ported the game to OSX. We need to figure out who ported the game and see if they can work on a fix.
Steam won't be able to help us fix the game but if the development company who ported the game can't be found then hopefully they can give us refunds.
Here's to hoping, fingers crossed, etc.
