Can't install Penny-Arcade 1 or 2 on my Mac
I can't install Penny-Arcade episodes 1 or 2 on my Mac. Every time I hit install it does not download and Steam simply thinks the game is installed with no game files downloaded.

Glad someone has flagged this. I've just encountered the same thing.

I've been trying to get steam support to help us with this issue, but it's taking ages and they expect me to just delete my local content and reboot my computer.

I think I should reference this thread to them so they understand it isn't just me.

So according to Steam support, the game doesn't exist for Mac even though we see it in our list. The store version they sell is windows only, however the people that are having issues i suspect are ones who used their humble bundle keys which did have a mac version available.

This is the response I got back from support:

Hello,

The games you are attempting to play are not currently available for Mac via Steam.

To play these games, you will need to install Steam on a Windows-based computer.

When purchasing games on the Steam store, look for the Apple logo, as seen here:

http://cdn.store.steampowered.com/public/images/v5/platforms/platform_steamplay.png

Games that feature this logo can be played on both Windows and Mac computers.

More Mac games can be found here:

http://store.steampowered.com/browse/mac

If you have any further questions, please let us know - we will be happy to assist you.

Damn. Well cheers for the update, flugshroom.

It's possible that Steam isn't to blame, but strikes me as strange that the game even appears in my games list when on a mac. Other windows only titles aren't there when I fllter to OSX games only.

Could well have been a mix up at humblebundle's end. I've just sent them an email. Let's see what happens.

I could have sworn I saw the Apple logo on the store page.

Still showing up as available for install on OS X.

Figment, keep us posted on what Humble Bundle says.

I'll post an update as soon as I get a reply.

This game is tagged as OS X game. If I filter my library with the predefined filters and show only OS X games, this game is available to install. After install, there is no file to run. So this is a Steam error.

just received a reply from humblebundle. They think that steam have, for whatever reason, taken down the mac version. They were surprised that it isn't there anymore and so, yeah, some explanation from Steam would be good.

My suggestion is to use WINE in order to get it running.
