Redstone Server Cheat

I would like to ask what people think about what I think is a CHEAT. Redstone has put on thier server a plugin that keeps the admin/mod from being demoted form COM. If the team thinks the COM is doing a crappy job he should leave when demoted. This server thinks it should be able to cheat and let the crappy COM keep playing even being demoted. If you had good COMS on your server you would not be demoted. It is like dealing with a big cry baby. I dont like cheating, what do you think? and PS im not playing on a cheat server. So if the games are on that server you will not see me. I will not play ND anymore before I play on a CHEAT server

I would play with BOTS before i play on a CHEAT server. Meaning not playing ND,

While cheat is the wrong word, I agree that its wrong to override the decisions of the players on a server. Its granting privledges to a minority at the expense of the majority.

i have to agree with plum when it comes to com demoting,after all it,s a team game and if the team wishes to demote the TEAM commander admin or not, so be it..sure sometimes it's not com's fualt for the tean losing ,but as they say sh..... happens " O" i"d like to say team one more time. I also agree with the above comments concerning the plugin. Why is this server different ?
The game is a very fast paced game and if the com is making bad decisions either through
non communication with his troops(which happens too often) or not directing the troops where they are needed ,the players should be able to ask for a new com. As a com we all have our off days and if a player can do better they should have that option to be com

I'm sure the manager of this server who we all know but i wont name will read this and hopefully change the plugin. If this doesn't happen i can take it to xG as a complaint if a few of you want to back it.

I happen to agree with you (and I'm a Mod). If you are communicating with your team you will not get demoted. I have never been demoted for about 6 months chiefly I believe because I have a mic and am seen to be doing stuff. But its not up to me, I'm just there to annoy people with my incessant droning :P I don't make the rules.

I agree, go democratic. If someone isn't cutting it as commander, and the team votes??? hell yes its wrong to have a plug-in that overrides democracy. I disagree with whoever put the plugin on Redstone.

the immunity plugin was just a temporary fix till a better system could be put in place and is being removed momentary. However, it will no longer be possible to demote someone by a minority percentage on redstone, as that was being abused. meaning, a single clan will no longer be able to come on and overpower the whole the team. there will also be steps put in place to unsure, people aren't demoted due to anther person simply wanting commander.

as usual everyone has the right to cast the odd one or two votes. spamming 4 or 5 is abusing that right will earn you a 1-2 week ban if its an repeated offense.

I have never seen a clan group on ND that i saw demote the Com. I have seen a team feel some Coms need to step down and get demoted. Never have i seen a Com demoted do to a clan, group or friends want thier Com spot.

I would have to say this is sour grapes. The person that wanted the plug in should chill out. Its not that big a deal being demoted as Com. Somebody starts a vote on me I get out of the chair and resign. Normally it is some noob doing it and it ends up costing the game.

Most Coms get demoted because A) they have no clue as to how to Com or B) Lack of talking with your team {a mic helps alot} or C) not doing what your team asks of you

Being Com is a stressful job. I dont even like doing it. I only do it if nobody else will. Sucks have no Com at all. Its not even a game at that point.

I completely agree with plumbcrazy. Both of his posts. Community of this game is way too small to be part of some experiments driven by someone's hurt ego. Default rules are set fine (more or less) so don't change them. However if you have an irresistible ambition to modify rules, here's my suggestion: prevent players w/ level < 10 to be a comm, they are usually not reasonable about their comm's skill or they apply by accident.

1-2 weeks is if there's 3+ instances of a single player spamming the munity button 4+ times in a single game... the first 1-2 times warnings are given out. everyone has the right to cast acouple but not to spam...
