Nuclear Dawn Installation issue
First off, I just recently bought a brand new computer with windows 8 and everything already updated. I bought and installed Nuclear Dawn and after it installed I had an issue with starting the game. I don't remember the exact message window but it was along the lines of " C:, or dx and I remember seeing a (x86)" in the message as well. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it and I have the same issue except this time it is saying "disk read error", which I don't understand why because it was a download. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times already and the same issue keeps happening. It installs and when I click "play game", thats when the problem occurs. The download also now says "suspended" not paused. It starts off by saying "paused" so I click resume, then a split second later it says suspended. Any resolution?

Did you try to run it in Compatibility mode?

No I haven't. How do you do that?

do you have any internet security on, and did it say anything when you where trying to start your game, because with me my intrnet security was blocking important files from starting the game.

Just Norton, but no, the security doesn't have anything to do with the message that comes up

About compatiblity mode: right click on the .exe file, choose 'properties' from context menu and there should be a tab called 'Compatibility'. Tick the checkbox for running in compatiblity mode and choose some older windows version (win 7 should be fine).

Also do you have any other game based on Source engine and does it run fine? I can remember I've had problem with one specific version of my video drivers, which crashed all Source-based games.

For some odd reason it actually runs and plays now. Thanks though for the comments.
