this game will be great.... along with half-life 3 -_-
i really like this game its blast to play but the fact of small things bothers me deeply like how it seems we will never get to play the game as it was ment to be played i know this is a broken record thing to say but i just want to know what is the problem with the development of one of my favorite games it seems too slow even for a small dev. team there is a half-life 3 type of feeling like it will never come out of beta and be the amasing silly wonderfull game and i know makeing a game isn't excatly easy but it is not rocket science ether i am just tired of all the waiting waiting waiting waiting and more waiting it is even worse when it takes a whole year to make something and i don't want this to be like duke nukem forever were it took 12 years to get the game in a "presentable condition" i just want to experiance the game in full in my life time.

This game, as you've said, is in Open Beta.
The Developer Team is small, consisting around 5 - 16 members maybe. The fact is, they have real jobs. They focus on PVK2 in their free-time, which is a pretty big thing to say, considering that they work may work for long hours, and then they just go home and work a few hours again on the game. The developer's studio is not a worldwide or famous one, but they are still working on the game to make it playable for every one of us. In my, and other's opinion, the game is already in perfect shape. The next update will bring us another class for the Knights, the Man-at-Arms, and the fact that it's slow is written above. It's slow, but be glad it is. I'm happy that the developers don't just rush the project down under 2 weeks, split it out and they give us an unplayable, unbalanced crap. The longer we wait for this, and future updates, the better the outcome will be. Even though I would like to play and see these updates right now, I know the results will be nice.

I think players have asked for a kickstarter but they refused it, or said maybe and then nothing, I think they are just lazy or dont wanna commit that much on the game and their studio.

I remember they told they didnt want to commit because they liked keeping it as a hobby, but what kind of awesome jobs do they have to refuse the possibility to develope an awesome game with their own studio?

They told 2014 was a big year for pvk 5 months in no news.

I genuinely think pvk has the best combat system compared to chivalry or wot, simple at the bases but with much more deep thoughts into it, and it's sad not to see it properly supported and improved upon.

I would consider acceptable a developing time of 5 years for a game, pvkii has what? more than 10 years? Yep it is more possible to see hl3 and source engine 2 than any life and light in this pvk.

True that, the development time is very long. Well, I can't add anything else here other than the stuff I wrote above. I agree with you on this point, to be honest.

The combat system is very smooth indeed, unlike in AoC in my solid opinion.

I love this game but lets be honest here, its not really going anywhere. I know the devs have their own life and such but this game has been in development for YEARS. If you inquire about when something will be released they say "When it's done" Giving no details to what they are working on. Personally I don't think they are much of a dev team anyway and I don't mean that rudely, but if they are interested in being a video game company (OctoShark Studios) then there gonna have to learn to kick it into gear or there other projects won't bear fruit either.

I am sure the MAA will come out. Not sure when but after that I don't see much happening with this title. Which is sad because this is some of the most fun I have had in a game but after awhile it starts to fade out and people move on and leave. Our playerbase is hanging on a thread of regulars, some of the dev team and with a small addition of new players who come and go.

Honestly I hope they prove me wrong release a full version of PVK II and watch it be what it always should have been, a great game.

They have planned 8 classes for each teams, but in my opinion 3 for each would be enough. The Game is already very fun, the only thing that is out is the Man-at-Arms. I agree with you on the fact that they don't really tell us what they are doing. I'm not asking a daily routine for myself, I just want to know what they have for ous out there. There is no problem with a few "secret" updates, like they want to keep it in secret for us and then release it all out. I personally wouldn't need anything other than the MAA, but all we can do is to wait for now.
As mentioned before, PVK2 has one, if not the best melee systems out there. Even if there are ranged classes, they are needed. Strangely enough, I always see new players on server, sometimes I see them again, sometimes I not. This is sad, as PVK2 deserved a bigger community.

yes it does sir this game is just too great i feel to just be some "little project" like edmund's super meat boy it was just some random idea that just worked he polished it and now look at it it has a large community and fan base i belive with some more deication and hard work from the devs the same will no dout happen to this game.

The game is very fun and has had a lot of players come and go - but never really had a lot to begin with. sadly I think pvk will slowly die in the playerbase department, excluding the daily players who have been playing for 2+ years.

For some reason the game is just not popular. The only way to get more updates and more players is to spread the word. Tell your friends about it, get them to tell their friends about it. And always ask if they happen to have a friend with modelling or designing skills.. PVK will be updated more if the team is bigger. HAIL PEASANTS

this is exactly what must happen if the game will ever see the great hall of gaming like it must see and be apart of like portal, team fortress, bioshock, call of duty, infamous, and payday
