If i could figure out how to get my dedicated server to show up online, i would leave it running all the time. I cannot find any help. Have port forwarding correctly, because I can host HL2DM games. I can join my dedicated server using a game on the same computer as the dedicated server. When I join like that, it shows up on the lan for other computers, but it says "server is not responding" and the other computers cannot join. None of my friends can see it.

I love this game and would play it more, but we cannot seem to get our server to work.

My uncle has been trying to get us all to play this game. He played it when it first came out. There are no servers anymore. He cannot get a server to work either.

Because i can see a server called "SG's (...never knows best...)" with the IP "188.134.90.207:27018"

My ping to that server is too high, so I get kicked out.

The server is in Russia and most in our group are in the US, so we all get kicked for ping too high. We just need to know why we can't get a server to show up.

I just got H2 and seen this game, it looks fun... I tested it out solo... Just riding around the track. I'll say who ever made this was very good and this is a good game/mod. I'll be looking for some one to play vs. :P

Ahh I loved this mod when it came out, played it a ton. I was pretty disappointed when they canceled it to make some zombie car game. Well I tried it out again a few days ago, no servers were in the list but I drove around a map some.

From the start this game was underrated, like other very fun hl2 mod's ( Eternal silence)
Steam never gave these games a fair chance ( no adverts nothing)
And Valve did it's very best to demolish HL2 dm and a lot of mods.
The fun player moder mapping community that existed 10 years ago is killed by steam and valve.
There big problem, Valve and Steam, had whit those strong community's was that those players did not have interest in other games , so they never bought any games.

At the other end Steam and Valve own there succes to the hl, hl2, cs, cs s, and the mod community.
They used them to get big, now they don't need them anymore, they even started to kill these games. you realy have to look very hard at the steam store to find this game.

It's all about profits.

Although I have an HP xw9400 workstation I have no idea how to set up or maintain servers. I am though very enthusiastic to play this game when servers are set up.
