Ubuntu "Could not find required OpenGL entry point 'glGetError'! Either your video card is unsupported, or your OpenGL drive needs to be updated"

I have just installed Synergy on my ubuntu laptop and have been getting this error, hl2 runs fine but Synergy is refusing to open. When I open the game this message pops up: "Could not find required OpenGL entry point 'glGetError'! Either your video card is unsupported, or your OpenGL drive needs to be updated". I have an NVidia GeForce 330M in my laptop and I am not using the NVidia drivers.
