I'll second this, Synergy is still really fun to play in VR even with it's copied experimental VR support from HL2. Would be great to see proper implementation once the HLVR guys release their code though.

It's not 'out of development', not even 'sort of'. The Dev team has been, and is still working on it. Don't be fooled by a lack of updates, yes it has been a long time but that does not mean it's not being worked on.
