You need to do this for HL2 (the core files) as well as Synergy, might as well do it for any other games/episodes you have installed that Synergy can mount too.
When I verify the cache on a game I always run it until it says all files verified. If it finds an issue and reaquires any files run it again until it comes up clean.
I already tried "snd_restart"command but no change...
