Latest Steam update broke ZPS for you? (STEAM certificate length error! 0/2048) If so, post here!
Since the last steam update i keep receiving "STEAM certificate length error! 0/2048" and can't play the game.

Just to confirm this issue is a part of the latest steam update, if you are affected too, can you please post into this thread?

Erro: "STEAM certificate length error! 0/2048"

I have the same problem, I have no idea why this happened to me, but the first time I left the steam beta update and returned to work, but do not think that's the problem, because even after leaving the steam beta update the problem appeared immediately after the last update of steam. Error: "Error STEAM certificate length 0/2048!"

Opted out of beta to fix this problem before, deleted all the files except the exe and SteamApps, and tried deleting client registry as usual. This error is still present.

As with GravY, I too saw this problem before when I decided to opt into the beta, and then opted out to fix it.

After updating today (2/19/14), I experienced this error once again and decided to try deleting the files in my steam folder besides the Steam.exe and SteamApps, which was the fix I used almost a year ago when I first encountered this error message, and I believe is the most common fix people have success with. The problem persisted however, and now I am stuck unable to get on ZPS.

I see a lot of people playing ZPS on various servers though, so I am very frustrated because, although I now know that I am not the only one experiencing this, there must be a bunch of people that aren’t. :(

There seems to be an issue with dedicated game servers running on Linux and the latest Steam client update. We are investigating.

Haha thanks. I hope you figure it out, although our particular server isn't a linux server so that's strange that I'm still getting the problem.

I have the same problem. There is an "error" in the server supposedly...Is this happeneing to everyone else too?

I'm affected.

People managed to successfully connect to my own server box. If you want to know, it was a barebones Windows server that snagged all the ZPS files from SteamCMD (created it tonight), and the users that were reporting Certificate Errors joined my Dedicated Server with no issues.

I have same issue under Windows Server 2012 R2, so i think this is not isolated to unix only.

Thank you, Riley. Hopefully the server admins will do their updates soon.

There is some server owners who knows a fix, but they don't want to release it, this is too much horrible, if they know a fix, they should post to the community

I just received another Steam client update, nothing changed to this error yet.

Yea that is pretty lame. Are you sure it's the server itself and not just that some people haven't updated steam yet? It is frustrating with communities use problems that affect everyone to thier advantage.
