Command & Conquer™ Red Alert™ 3

EA was wrong to Shut Down Online Services to all of its older Titles.
Command & Conquer games were not getting 1% peak of its Online traffic, not to mention some of its were getting more mods.

Battlefield 2 is still more popular then BF4 why? mods and theablity to make maps. But unfortunately EA believes BF4 has more players and interest.

Star Wars: Battlefront II is being played more then the new Battlefront.

I am not sure why EA games decided the need to Shut Down Online Services to all of its older titles. That was a bad decision.

They didn't have a choice. They multiplayer hosting service GameSpy was shut down, and caused a lot of old games to lose multiplayer functions.

Well they did have a choice, multiple games put out a patch that changed the master server from Gamespy to an in house or steam based master server. They just didn't want to do that.

No it's because westwood have all games in their posestion linked Direcly to gamespy arcade and gamespy Commrad, once those were Forcfully shut down due to legal issues. they had to shut down services for those games + when westwood was bought by EA they shut down all existing services for they were not getting any profit for said services.

i have the original RA3 and RA3 Uprising, and when the services shut down all owners of the games that were sold on disc, were sent a apology for the service recall. no actions were made to prevent them from doing this lots of people tried to file lawsuits and legal action towards EA and the former Westwood studios but all legal issues were lost since EA could do anything they wanted with any product they own or had Bought from other companies.

So no they didnt do it because they didnt want to make servers, and no they Didnt have a choice. they acted on greed and greed alone so they could make *Mini EA servers that each and every customer has had to pay to play on. VERY few of the EA servers are F2P. but all that was made by West Wood Studios all have been lost and may never be coming back the same again.

Steam on the other hand: Had made a few (modafications) to the games coding so they have reopened a few of the pre-existing servers to restore Multiplayer, When steam did this it restored the same amount of features to the rest of the westwood made games on disc and downloaded versions.

so i thank Steam for doing this because playing singleplayer since late 2009 it had been a pain in the ass no suprises when uve beaten the game at least 12 times in 4 months of each year.
