Regestered ME at origin to get my dlc but
Logged into origin account (no software), registered my ME. Now can't see any of the 3 games I have registerd there, ME, DAO and SWTOR. After browsing the quick fixes, with no luck, got into que for Live Support. Once connected, was told I had to do the following list (leaving the reps name out).

Create an account in http://www.pogo.com/

2 - Login into https://profile.ea.com/login.do using the EA email id and password.

3- Scroll down the page, click on " Add Persona".

4- Select option " existing EA classic screen name". It will open a login window.

5- Login using pogo screen name and password.

6- Click on " Add Persona".

7- Now pogo screen name should appear under " Select a default persona" heading.

8- Double click on the pogo screen name.

Wtf, I have to register a new account at some hokey game site called pogo games? ea has already made me register with ea and origin, now pogo just to see my current games. This seems like one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard of, where the hell does this stop?

Anyone have any insight into wth is going on and if this popo site is legit?

Thanks

I've heard of Pogo, that's about it and whats going on is EA are awful and will always be awful so long as we keep throwing our money at them for their big titles. Sadly I don't see anyone stopping myself included.

I'm amazed to find out the DLC for ME isn't available on steam, I'm also looking for a way to get it.

You can get Bring Down the Sky here: https://help.ea.com/article/mass-effect-bring-down-the-sky-dlc-redemption
Pinnacle Station, however, is no longer available as separate purchase and can only be gotten as a part of Mass Effect Trylogy.

Have you tried doing all the steps excluding the first one?

Found it! Forget what Origin support told you, you do not need a Pogo account and ME1 DLC is no longer available through Origin.

However here is a link where you can get the DLC.

https://help.ea.com/article/mass-effect-bring-down-the-sky-dlc-redemption

Just run the installer, when it asks for an activation code it'll automatically start a new download in your default browser.

The automated download is the contents of the DLC just run that file for an installer.

As for Pinnacle Station which I was also looking for it is only available through the Mass Effect Trilogy release, EA have removed any other means of getting it legitimately.

Tyvm all, for the help! :)

I did find the link and get BDtS installed, I think (heh).

It seems like what's going on is that ea is forcing the installation of origin, to get any addtional dlc now. Sadly will need it installed for any addtional ME2 dlc. So far I have been able to avoid origin software DAO, SWTOR and ME but no longer it seems.

I have ME2 on origin the DLC is not available there only the ME3 Deluc edition upgrade is available.

They are trying to encourage people the buy the Trilogy by making DLC difficult/impossible to get.

I have to have origin to run ME3 I hate EA...

You don't need it installed. You just need to download DLC's from BioWare Social Network: https://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php

P.S. You still need Origin account for that.

I do see me my DAO dlc content, tyvm GrimAquatic, excellent news! :)

Any idea why we can't seem to regester ME, only seems to allow ME 2 of the package?

Secondly, I'm guessing there is a way to shop for ME 2 dlc from this menu, though I haven't figured it out yet.

You can buy ME2 DLC here: http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc

Once bought it will be on your registered content page: http://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php

That is what I thought, too - but having problems running my steam version on winxp (it runs fine on win7) I tried to register my steam key for ME on origin and did not only get the game but also the pinnacle station dlc! Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to carry that DLC over to steam. Just copying the files of the DLC and the registry entried is not enough.

I presume, because it's a legacy game, i.e. something BioWare did before affiliation with EA.

I have to disappoint you, but BioWare Social Network is a part of Origin.

Try deleting local shader cache files via Mass Effect launcher then moving DLC folder to appropriate location in Steam version. Then create autoload.ini file in [game folder]\DLC\DLC_Vegas\ with following text:

I did just that and it worked, I myself have been trying to find a solution to this all night. Thanks so much GrimAquatic, you're amazing.

Just in case anyone else has trouble finding the launcher, you can find it in the main directory of the game in your SteamApps\common folder. To delete the shader cache go to "Configure" in the launcher (to bring up the config app), select the "Repair" tab on the sidebar and press the apprpriate button there.

Good Luck fellow Commanders, and happy gaming ;)

Oh, are you saying I have to install origin software to buy from Bioware Social Network? Just from the inital appearences, it looked like I would buy MSPoints (or whatever they are called) then buy it through my origin account, but not have to install origin software. Afai am concerned origin software is the devil in the room. I'm actually not picking on origin unfairly, even Steam I waited 5 or so years before I joined, waiting for it to be tested and secured.
GrimAquatic Jan 6 @ 4:46am
No, you don't need the software. It's just many people think that they are different things. Consequently they are willing to buy DLC's from BWSN while at the same time stating that they hate Origin.

After trying the whole night all things I tried this, too - unfortunatley it does not work wor me. When exactly do you have to delete the cache und do you have to do this in the origin version or in the steam version - what is the purpose of deleting the cache and how on earth did you find that solution? I assum I just did something wrong so there still is hope - thanks in advance :)
