How about a challenge?
Has anyone fancied a bit more of a challenge and set themselves personal goals in this game?
There is an xbox achievement for completing the game without shooting anyone, how about taking this a step further? Try to complete the entire game without taking out or otherwise killing any enemies.
Personally, I've managed it with every level except the boat (and there is only one room I can't do there - 2nd one, after climbing down the ladder)

Has anyone else done this? Anyone want to try it?

Anyone?

The console version also had achievements for beating each chapter within a specific time limit. This was probably one of the most rewarding aspects of playing for myself, and it's a real shame they didn't carry them over to steam.

Yeah, that machine gunner really unloads everything into you if you try to open the hatch wheel. But it can be done, just keep trying. I've got every achievement for Mirror's Edge on Xbox, the full 1250 gamerscore. The game is amazing, but some achievements were a real pain to get.

I would have the full achievement list if they were on the pc, doing the no-shooting (pacifist?) achievement on the boat isn't a problem, MG guys are one of the easiest to disarm. You've managed to get past without taking him out? did you get him to move somehow?

When I did my first pacifist run I played on hard for some reason and also thought that I couldn't disarm police. That boat room killed me until I decided to just take his gun. Pleasant surprise when I still got the achievement.

I can imagine.

I hate to do it, but apparently there is a glitch a that allows you to open doors / hit buttons instantly. I'm going to give it a go, just for this door. ( I hate using glitches, I like to solve the game properly)

You're a very good man/woman in the gaming universe. Thank you for existing.

if you like challenges you should head over to the time trials / speed runs section
after beating the game and starting focusing on those i really felt like even though i had beat the game on normal and hard, i knew nothing about the game at all
anyways few weeks later i got to top 10 in a few of the DLC time trials :D
sadly the DLC is not on steam :/
