Spore is no longer opening.

This is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥, my other account (which shares with this one) has spore and all the DLC, None of this is opening, I need a solution.

Run in XP Compatibility mode and with Administrator rights.

Usually the close-before-opening problem is because Spore doesn't have enough rights to your system hardware.

And it wants ALL the rights to your system hardware.

That's one way, yes. Another is to check the properties of the Spore.exe file and make sure it's checked for "Run as Administrator".

That's also where you can set the .exe to run in "XP Compatibility mode".

MY favorite solution: Unistall, remove any other files in Steam/SteamApps/common/XCOM
The placholder should remain in your library, click it to reinstall xcom. if it is not in your library, Steamn stil has record of the purchase so go to the stor page, most likely you will see the message this game is already in your library with a green play button. Click it and it will redownload the game.
