I've gotten it running just fine on both Windows 7 & Windows 8, both 64-bit. There's a thread in this forum about copying & renaming a Bin file. Follow the instructions there & Crysis will be working just fine. It'll take less time than it took to type your post. :)

it runs perfect on windows 7 64bit on my pc. do you expect that someone from steam will help everyone with problems like this? this is not steam's fault, your pc has the problem my friend

Dude, Chill out. This game IS worth the money. Just figure out where the glitch is and fix it.

Don't cheat yourself out of an awesome experience...

Note: if you still get the error (which is common), you can still play the game via the editor, Sandbox II. Search my posts for how to do this.

steam can check your game files to see if there is something missing and updates it. maybe that will fix it...

I"ve got Win 7 64-bit and it works like a charm. Try re-installing. If that doesnt work then call EA? Anyways the game is more than worth the price. Still can't believe I can run it on full settings :'D

I have Win 7 64 bit and it works fine! i got the game on sale though at like 10€ and thats a reasonable price but yes it still needs to come down in price

I just re-installed it and plays and runs good on W7. No problem at all. Blackscreen is maybe because of a conflict. Installed framework or xlive.dll and paste it to windows system.

Just wanted to post this as I was having problems too. Not sure if it is the same issue or not as my game was crashing after I would make changes to the settings and hit save. Turns out AVG doesn't play nice with Crysis. After I added it to AVG's exception list the crashing stopped:) - Open AVG > Options > Advanced Settings > Excetions > Add Exception > C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\My Games\Crysis\ > Save and profit!

Well, bought it too and was excited to play it today, after let it download through the night.
I alreaedy tried the bin32 rename fix and the movement of the paul.dll and GL.ini. Now as a post i should delete the Folder in MyDocuments/MyGames/Crysis. I did that and it still gives me the flaming middlefinger F*ck you in that form: "The game seems to be installed incorrectly. Please Re-Install the game"

I use Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
