Crysis crashing

Ok so I got the Crysis series from the 75% off sale yesterday. I downloaded and installed everything over night. I woke up this morning and it was done so I skipped off to school. Now when I try to play the game all I get is a black screen then an error message saying that Crysis stopped working. I don't see anything other than a black screen when the game loads. What should I do?

same issue here. i was playing last night and it locked my computer and now i get the black screen/app not responding error on startup. must be something server side.

did you try to disconnect from the internet to run it? I cant because I need to verify ownership, but you might not have to.

it wont start without an internet connection

yeah. knew I should have used Origin. Always seem to have a problem with steam.

You have to download that Bin64 folder. Then add it into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis

rename the Bin32 to Bin32.Bak
rename Bin64 to Bin32
open the Bin64 folder...then open the bin 64 folder cut everything from there. Go back to where you were (original Bin64 folder) and then paste it there. Delete the second Bin 64 folder out of the first Bin 64 folder and you should be good. :)

still doesnt work :( crysis warhead works without a fix though..strange

ok so i just copied the bin64 folder from warhead into the crysis folder and now it works without renaming the bin32 folder or anything..the bin64 rar that works for a lot of other ppl didnt work for me either..very strange but ill take it, just hope it holds up
