Crysis is 5 bucks... Does it still have SecuROM?
I'd like to get this with warhead. I've always wanted to play these. But do these still have SecuROM?

origin key? wtf?

I don't get why such an old/cheap game would still have securom. 5 dollars saved I guess.

Oh that's good to hear, because I forgot to do the whole process (whatever it's called) to get the first activation back

Do you just add that, start up the game, and it will revoke the activation?
Then uninstall?

i just started up the game... nothing having anything to do with secuROM popped up and i didnt have to put the CD key anywhere, still havent started multiplayer maybe thats what its for? anyway no securom and dont install gamespy comrade when promtped since theyve shut down.
Plaid Oct 10, 2013 @ 8:38pm
I'm pretty sure secuROM is a silent install; it doesn't prompt you or anything.
There will probably be some securom directories in your system if you look around.

5 or 50 install limit, if there's a a limit I'm not buying regardless of the price

I think I just got screwed. I'm not too up to date about all this stuff. I found this topic a little late. I certainly didn't rent this game from Blockbuster Video Store and feel that garbage like this for an old game that yes, has probably already been pirated, 100's of time if not more, is a joke. If they are selling it on Steam then, they're still grasping for pennies just to make a few extra bucks. Any restrictions should have been removed already.

Can I have a confirmation whether it's 5 or 50 activations? If it's 5 I'm skipping this if it's 50 then I'm buying. Sorry for being long winded and thanks in advance.

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=793234&page=2 this should also answer your question but however, there are two sides who saying yes or no. also there is a tool to revoke the drm securom.
