Just can't get into it
I'm finding it hard to accept that, for what seems the most part of the game runs itself. Does it get better or should I just leave it?

Are you only playing the sandbox mode?

I though the same way on the begining....but after making the first scenario I like it. As example building a pyramid or a boat is not as easy as just ordering to build it, but stablishing mines or commerce routes with the places where the material needed is.

In resume the game is not a Civilization game, but it is complex enough to enjoy it; It's true that my first feeling was like yours.
I recommend this game to strategy lovers, I bought it on sale and I don't regret :)

Personally, I really like the game and find its pace soothing, and its systems interesting to play with.

You're on your own in game. Its not like in other games where u get money and rewarded with money and build more. This one you can't build a building without a supporting one, things are dependent on each other. It can be slow at times, but it is a good game.

It is a great game.I played many many hours.Built huge monuments.I had this before I had Steam. It really is complex and you get more and more into it if you dont give up before it happens.Watching all your work go into a great works is something to see. Also the Gods play a big part in this game. You have to have good crop seasons.Stuff like that.So dont give up.The expantion to this is alot better.

Well, I like taking my time, watching my people live. But of course, sometimes it is a bit boring. ;-)
