An alternative to Global Agenda (if you've had enough)

Warframe is where its at with the PVE scene that Global Agenda was known well for. Although it doesn't have PVP based modes like GA does, it has WAY more missions than Global Agenda has starting out. Very scalable and easy to jump right in without getting screwed by low level weapons. Also fun to play with friends.

Controls are similar to GA and don't get me wrong, I played the hell out of GA in its hayday. But if you are fed up with GA, try Warframe. Its free to play and is not in any way Pay to Win (even though you can buy ingame "platinum" with real money, you can get those same items with "blueprints". Platinum just makes it go faster). Besides its PvE only so there's really no reason to get mad at someone who has the paid gear that you can get freely.

Digital Extremes does NOT pay me to advertise their game, hell i only started 5 DAYS ago... (its been in closed beta since last October, but went into Open Beta about a week ago).

But its so damn addicting that i recommend it and usually im too lazy to go on a forum and recommend any game let alone a free one...

Looks OK, K I'll try it. Based on gameplay vids, a few differences jump out:

1. It doesn't like co-op, it looks like a rush/FFA. Where's the teamwork?
2. PvP is what made GA REALLY fun. PvE was just amusing. The extra dimension added with jetpacks was a large part of that, IMO.

I understand your points as its a common thing to run across people that just do their own thing, but the game allows for both.

You can search for the materials you need while running through a level with random people, but if someone gets downed, you rely on your teammates to get you back up (no one wants to waste the 4 revives they have that only get recharged daily). There are also missions with Bosses in them so teamwork is a must there.

With many things that you can build without paying, it makes you want to replay each level to find those materials needed for the blueprint and its better played with others as it goes quicker. I'll say though, that they need a trading system which there is none right now. It would something like an auction house so you can't make it TOO easy to pass a needed item to your friend.

Personally, I did not like the PvP in GA because you needed a solid character with good weps and armor to stay alive for long in the modes (which didn't come as quickly to me as I had to grind for a few hours for a decent amount of creds).

While Warframe isn't a PvP game (Yet... and who knows? maybe it will come), theres plenty of enemies to go around in a level and sometimes you get swarmed in certain missions. So as a newbie, there will be things to do and not overrun by more experienced PvE-ers. It has a lot of growth too with possibility of new Warframes, Weapons, Planets, etc.(not to mention its a DirectX 9E/ 11 game that throws in Nvidia's PhysX technology so the game looks pretty stunning IMO).

Tried it a bit but so far not too impressed. The graphics and animations are definitely beautiful but it just feels a bit boring. It's a well-crafted game but not my thing.

It is a beta after all. But its ok. There's so many Free-to-plays these days its hard to get hooked on to a single one for a length of time.

Seen this on the store for a while now, and I think im going to give this game a shot. Looks really fun by the videos.

Firefall is better than Warframe & Global Agenda with PVE & PVP based elements. It's still currently in closed beta, but you can get in for cash. Only about 10% of the game is available though so you'll get bored in a week.
