I used to be good at trial-games...
...until I played this one. Yeap, I absolutely suck at this, and I don't even blame myself.
Why? Because the physics are so ridicusouly "floaty" and heavy. I can barely get control over the balance of the bike, it's as if it's completely made out of steel, including chassis, driver and all. So whenever you're slightly under or over your balance it's just over. Then any bump or any acceleration that's a bit too much will throw you off completely. I really fall a dozen times between every checkpoint and sometimes I just can NOT find out how to pull it off. There are no hints or whatsoever, just nothing that will help, making me quit after a couple of minutes in the game every time. I've given this game a chance again and again, thinking it might just have had a bad moment, but I should stop thinking that cause it's the same crap every time.
I don't know what I was thinking wanting this game back when I bought it. I did try a demo of it and I thought it was great fun, I didn't see a problem. It's as if the physics changed or something, which I doubt, and I have probably changed myself over the years or whatever.
Anyway, I give up on this game unless someone has tips, but I doubt it would help.

I've also tried the demo of the newer game, and that has a good balance between challenge and fun. It's a little too easy though, but then I don't know what the later levels are like. It seems they knew they had to improve the game, even though I don't think anyone really thought 'Trials 2' was bad or anything.
Oh well, I just had to rant on this a little. lol But really, did anyone else have trouble playing this, or if not, have a tip?
Like I said, I used to be good at these games, I am, I really have a feel for it, but these physics, geez, they're so clunky I just can't get a grip on the control of it.

I agree. The physics in this one is a bit more "realistic", but too heavy and slow for my taste. I do recomend you give the newer games a chance tho, it does get a lot more challenging on the hard and extreme tracks. Great fun and addictive as hell :D

Yes, I will get that one eventually. It's a lot more playful in its presentation and all that too, so it's more fun than just more straightforward trials.
