Luxor 3 not working

I just bought this game. It won't start up! I keep getting an error message.

I am having the same issue, but on mac. The game opens, then immediately quits out with an error message ( http://pastebin.com/MTh8dAfD this is the error log i get). Hopefully this can be fixed or worked around.

My best guess would be setting the application it runs off of to compatibility mode. The applications would be in Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/common/Luxor 3.

Just gifted this, and tried to make it work. So I noticed that the folder is lacking the steam_api.dll
Guess that is why is not working. Help me sending this to the Steam Support, please!

Doesn't work on my pc but runs on everyone else's in my house which is annoying. So while i could play on theirs everyone is always on their pc. Very weird as we are all running the same thing

I sent this message to Steam support twice. Got 2 automatic messages. The suppose to be official support of the developers is the same. Both are just "uh?"

Game is now patched and should work on Win 7, 8, and 8.1. Let us know if you have any issues!

Hey, and I had lost hope of a answer. =D

I uninstalled it, deleted the old folder before reinstall, and cleaned the compatibility configuration on the luxor3.exe, but the game still don't work.
Keep looping on the Steam is initializing message box. With the XP sp3 compatibility on, the Win message box asking to allow the executable to run will appear next, then go back to the Steam message box.

Yeah, this is new. I reinstalled, and when I try to launch, the Steam window that says preparing to launch just blinks off an on, off and on. I have to X it out because it never launches.
