This is one of the best 40k games to ever come out. However, its an awful strategy game. Get this because you love 40k, not because you love RTS games.
Graphics: Incredible for the time. They have aged well too.
Audio: The voice acting in this game is great. Easily some of the best voice acting I've ever heard. Each character's voice fits well to their role and is acted well. The only problem, which is hardly a problem, is too much steve blum.
Gameplay: This game downsizes from the last dawn of war and is more of a squad based RPG than a RTS. There is a cover system which is better than the cover that was in the first dawn of war in that it actually feels like the cover is helping rather than making you squat in a crater. Unforutantely, due to the squad based nature of the game, the multiplayer is lacking at best. Games are long, combat is rare, stratgy is lacking, and it really just feels like someone took company of heroes, shrank it a bit, and gave it 40k units.
Story: The story is well written. It makes the game feel like a desperate gambit for surivival against odds only a spacemarine could surmount. The only problem is reused maps.
Overall: 8/10. Play it cause you want to lead a badass squad of blood ravens and listen to steve blum tell steve blum that steve blum is a really dangerous steve blum.
