Yeah! We want to try that out again as well, at least as an internal test. Right now, we're focused on the "Signal capture" mechanic. I'm going to toss out a pile of ideas to the dev team, so feel free to share any thoughts there.

It's good to see this game coming together, but it looks a bit too easy and there is still no real objective to the gameplay.

I think you guys really do need to add enemies in the game that you need to shoot down for a bigger score and if the enemies hit you it results in a loss of score. If it was more of a music/shoot'em up it would offer a challenge on tougher difficulties to set that high score.

I like the signal collect mechanic but I can't see playing the game longer than a stage or two because it just doesn't offer anything that would make me want to keep playing. Maybe if the signal was combined with the shooter idea you can shoot enemies down and collect a signal which would make your weapon stronger and if you get hit you lose a bit of signal, you would also be given a bonus score for finishing the level with a full signal.
