Which to launch?

So should I launch SH4 or the SH4-Uboat game in Steam, or are they both shortcuts to the same application? By the way, I am running mods of that makes any difference....

Legion1183 has Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific U-Boat Missions

Either one does not matter both have the same campaigns. I have only the SH4 Uboat add on installed because it also loads the American campaign in. Along with the German Campaign in the game.
