sub sonars
1:Does passive sonar make you undetectable
2:Is active sonar just like other ships and planes sonar? if not how
3:Can the bad guys detect your subs in active mode regardless of there placements and modes and radar coverages?

1: Passive almost makes you undetectable, but can still be spotted via sonar pings from enemy carriers (anti sub mode) and subs (active sonar mode).
2: Active sonar makes your sub more aggresive and will ping to see if they can detect any ships within range.
3: If your within the enemies radar and your pinging, yes.
(based on my experience anyways :P)

I would like to mention also that i find it best to not use pinging subs that still have nukes on board (except to counter any enemy subs i suspect coming for my fleet). I also find it useful to keep subs with my fleet to provide much needed escort from any carrier or sub threats, aswell as protecting my launch.
