Game Crash

So, whenever i turn on the game, it goes into the screen where it shows the picture of "Heroes V" and the people fighting and then the game sends me to desktop... so i click on the icon in the taskbar and i can hear stuff happening but it just black screens and sends me to desktop again... then after 3 years it sometimes lets me into the game but when i change resolution settings then the game just completely crashed, it would be nice to get some help please.

I am having a similar problem. I've had the game dowloaded for five months but finally installed it. I was able to make a profile, start the first compaign but I closed my laptop while playing and upon opening it my screen just shows my desktop while flashing black. I turned off the game, restarted, tried to select my profile and it again crashed to my desktop and flashed. I verified files, not problem, tried again, didn't work. uninstalled, same problem, restarted computer and reinstalled, same problem. Very disappointed
