dagonnit! controls!
it's ludicrous that this game doesn't have internal controller support. I've fought with controls for much of the game, messin with joy2key and just trying to get a decent layout for vehicle control otherwise my fingers get knotted up trying to do too many things at once on a flat kb.

the hovercraft is challenging, the beluga is an outright annoying chore, and trying to race or chase looters is an near impossibility . . . all while using the KB to steer.

If the game wasn't generally fun and the story somewhat compelling, i'd have turned it off long ago.

"Well the devs couldn't just" my ♥♥♥. Saints Row the 3rd allows kb/m and controller active at the same time as did Halflife after it was released for ps2. . . so no developer excuse is worth a crap. The excuse is business, not game dev.

You do realise that this port came out in like 2003? A lot of ports form that time don't have controller support.

This isn't meant to sound elitist or anything, but

is highly subjective. I had no problem whatsoever. Sure, I didn't win every race 1st place right off the bat, but it is supposed to be kinda challenging to do so. Controlling the vehicles with KB is absolutely fine.

Have fun with the final boss battle. ;)

yeah I finished the game. I don't remember what I wound up doing with controls, but I'm sure it wasn't unbearable, otherwise I'd remember it (=
