[spoilers] Deleting files from the hacker's personal computer reaches the news...

I followed the log trail from ARC to Mark Grant's personal computer. I deleted both mails and two files that were stored on his PC (Revelation 0.7 and some other random file).
After a while a news report popped up that said:
"Mark Grant found themselves in the public eye today as one of their primary computer systems suffered a complete failure, resulting in a large amount of lost data (...)"

I guess deleting all the data from any computer triggers this news report. Gonna try it on the Uplink Test Machine next time. Shame the devs didn't foresee this.

I always killswitch (console>sys>delete; shutdown) the test machine because its is so easy and fun at the same time.. :3 ..It gives the system destruction message on the newsfeed.. xD

Actually, this is a valid method of "beating" the game. I believe it's in the official guide.

I know this post is a few months old but I feel I have to share this lol. After you get the message that he died you can go into the GCD and get him arrested. According to internic and the news he's no longer dead but in jail.

It's a shame the game doesn't keep track of this sort of events.
Uplink is great, but once you gain more experience and start trying out different things all those little flaws begin to surface.

I stole the Revelation Core v 0.7 from his computer and deleted it from his computer so that I'm the only owner of Revelation. When I got an e-mail from ARC it said that I 'have something of theirs in my possesion'. If I just delete the file, what happens? This is the first time I've played this far into the game so I want the experience the full storyline (the Arunmor side first I think).
