Do any servers have backps?
I've noticed that whenever you have a "destroy this file/data/mainframe" mission, they say something along the lines of "You must also ensure that all backups are totally wiped out." Yet in ~18 hours of playing I have not found more than one copy of a file. Do any missions actually require this? If so, how will I know (and where are they stored)? Thanks!

What I wonder about is, if YOU have a copy, does the deletion still count.
There is no occurrance of a file being stored in multiple places, so you don't need to waltz around the place looking for it at the internal services AND the central mainframe.

$ cd usr $ delete $ cd log $ delete $ cd sys $ delete $ shutdown . Never had a problem using this method to destroy a mainframe.

Hmm, apparently I've hit a bug, I'm on a mission where you need to wipe all the files, so I've wiped the file server and gone through the console, it's now gone, but apparently the mission isn't complete.

You probably need to wait for the hack to be publicly announced on the news: your employers won't just take your word for it.

Yeah, well I ended up having to restart my game and it worked after that, probably just a coincidence though.
